Habits of Successful Women Entrepreneurs

Every woman entrepreneur is successful in their own way. We each have habits that lead to our success. As owner of Women TIES, I wanted to share with you some of the habits I've developed over the past ten years in business. I shared these a week ago with the women entrepreneurs who are part of the Women TIES Online PR Directory. We hope these are helpful to you as well.

WOMEN TIES SUCCESS STRATEGIES:

Be a Source for the Media - Become a source for the media by sending writers, reporters, and producers an introduction letter informing them on your area of expertise. Tell them to contact you if they ever need a story or article supported by a local business owner. Once you start receiving some of this PR, make sure to give back to your media contacts. Call them the next time you discover information that might be useful to them.

Be Innovative - "Thinking Outside of the Box" is one of my favorite statements. I've never believed there was one right way to do anything. Start cultivating a philosophy of "thinking out of the box" the next time you have a problem that can't be solved, a new product or service you want to implement, or a new way to market your business.

If you are interested in bringing creativity into your business, research what similar companies in your industry are doing nationally or regionally. Their ideas might trigger innovative services or products to bring to your own market place.

Continue to Educate Yourself - Before starting Five Star Events )(http://www.five-star-events.com) and Women TIES, I was in higher education. I've always believed that education was a key component to success. Whether it's taking a business class, reading books, or attending conferences, you are learning something new that can shape your company.

Make sure to read books on different subjects, attend an educational event at least once a month, go to conferences, and take College courses if you want. Just never stop learning!

Focus on Success - My philosophy on success can be summed up in the following statement..."If you don't try you can't fail, and if you fail you just get right back up and try again."

I think as entrepreneurs you understand the importance of this statement. I've never believed in being too scared to try something new. I've always believed in the unlimited potential of success. Entrepreneurs believe this or we wouldn't have started our companies.

Success might be defined differently for each entrepreneur - for some its sales figures, for some it's 100% client satisfaction, for some it's being the biggest company in town, and for some it's creating the most innovative products. What's important for each of us is to understand exactly what success means to us and to go after it 100%!

Introduction to Women TIES

As the Founder and President of Women TIES, I'm thrilled to be launching this blog to be able to connect with more women entrepreneurs who are looking for education, inspiration, and ways to promote their companies with other women. Women TIES which stands for "Women Together Inspiring Entrepreneurial Success" was created to forge economic connections between women entrepreneurs in the Greater Central New York region but we are truly dedicated to supporting all women entrepreneurs, no matter where they operate their businesses. We want all women entrepreneurs to succeed!

We'll be posting some of our "Wednesday Wisdoms" since we've coined Wednesday's as 'the day women entrepreneurs need to stop and do something to make their businesses more successful!' We will also post success strategies discussed at our Women TIES Success Seminars and articles written in our bi-monthly publication. We'll also be discussing some growth issues for women business owners looking to grow their companies. We have lots to share so stop back regularly.

Women entrepreneurs are busy but if we don't give ourselves time to be inspired and educated we won't achieve our goals. For women interested in receiving three of our past Wednesday Wisdoms, contact us at www.womenties.com and we'll send you a series of weekly tips that have been beneficial to the women already involved with us.

Until next time....keep your entrepreneurial spirits high!
